Censorship on Twitter-X

Elon has established a policy of “Free Speech Not Free Reach” meaning they will deamplify you if they don’t like what you post. Linda Yaccarino, Twitter-X CEO, says, “If your posts are lawful but awful we will deamplify you and demonetize your account if you’ve earned a revenue stream.”

But, Giant Slayers has uncovered that Elon isn’t just deamplifying posts they think are “lawful but awful,” they’re deamplifying almost all conservatives except a handful of big accounts that can sell subscriptions and advertise products for Elon. He gives them millions of views. We believe that up to 90% of conservative views/impressions have been removed from Twitter-X as a result. It is true that Elon doesn’t suspend accounts as often as the old regime, but he’s removed even more conservative views/impressions than the old regime by severely deamplifying almost all conservatives. He looks like a hero because he isn’t mass suspending people, but he’s actually doing even more damage by censoring everyone.

If people tell you they’re not censored, tell them to check the views they get on a post. Elon should show their posts at least to all of their followers, that’s why they followed. For a view to be tallied, someone only needs to scroll by their post, they don’t have to expand it, RT or like so a good number of their followers should be included in the number of views. More than that, Elon should include their posts in the general post stream where thousands would see it.
